International study visit under the Erasmus+ project 

PROMENT to the University of Perugia (Italy)



From July 3 to 7, 2023, an international study visit of the partners of the Erasmus+ project ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 "PROMENT" was held in Perugia (Italy). The visit took place at one of the oldest higher education institutions in Europe - the University of Perugia (Università degli Studi di Perugia). Representatives of 7 partner universities from 3 countries took part in the meeting: Italy, Georgia and Ukraine. 

The first day of the visit began with a meeting with Professor Fabio Marcelli, Vice-Director of the FISSUF Department of the University. Department. Key aspects of the project and its future development prospects were discussed during the meeting. An important part of the visit was an organizational briefing with Dr. Antonio Kozenc and Dr. Giorgio Gizzoni. This meeting contributed to the improvement of organizational work and a common understanding of the project objectives.

The second day was also eventful. The meeting with Professor Massimiliano Marianelli, Director of the FISSUF Department, allowed participants to gain an understanding of European universities' approaches to student employment, the development of their relevant professional skills and civic engagement through a comprehensive system of training and mentoring (T&M). Project participants had the opportunity to visit the university library located in Palazzo Murena. It was an opportunity to experience the long history of one of the oldest universities in Europe. 

Professor Stefania Stefanelli, Rector's Representative for International Affairs, also met with the project participants. During the meeting, issues of international cooperation and opportunities for the university to expand its ties with foreign partners were discussed. Другий день був також насиченим подіями.

Dr. Alessia Fabbri presented Inl@b, the university's innovation laboratory, which conducts research and development of new methods and technologies, including mentoring and tutoring approaches. 

During the working visit, the representative of the rector of the University of Perugia, Professor Roberto Rettori, together with the university staff presented various mentoring practices, services and opportunities offered to students for their integration into the professional space. A productive meeting was held under the leadership of Professor Claudia Mazzeski, where policy aspects of the inclusion of students with disabilities were discussed. Professor Daniele Rossellini presented current solutions related to the policy of student inclusion, which open up new opportunities for building the university's interaction with students with special needs. 

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the support services for students at the University of Perugia, including Focus-Ped and Focus-Psi, aimed at providing psychological support and assistance. The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to discuss with #PROMENT partners the specifics of further cooperation within the framework of the development of tutoring and mentoring. As part of the coordination meeting in Italy, the project participants not only held official events, but also had the opportunity to explore the city of Perugia, visit the Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria under the guidance of Professor Fabio Marcelli, learn more about the city's cultural heritage, and visit the ancient city of Assisi, which emphasized the importance of the connection between academia and cultural heritage. 

The last intense day at the University of Perugia within the framework of the PROMENT project was attended by Professors Elisa Delvecchio and Moira Sannipoli. The main purpose of the meeting was to work in mini-groups under the guidance of Dr. ssa Giulia Moretti, Dr. Antonio Cosenza and Dr. Giorgio Ghizzoni.

Professor Elisa Delvecchio and Professor Moira Sannipoli actively participated in the meeting, providing the necessary expert support and guidance to the working groups. The participants actively participated in the discussions and made constructive suggestions. Working groups focused on important aspects related to mentoring and tutoring practices. Professor Elisa Delvecchio and Professor Moira Sannipoli expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the productive work of the groups. They also provided useful advice and recommendations regarding the further development of the PROMENT project. At the end, all participants received advanced training certificates for their participation in the International Study Visit on Staff Mobility.

During the International Study Visit, a number of important meetings, presentations, and discussions were held that contributed to the further development of the PROMENT project and strengthened cooperation between partner universities in the developing basic tutoring and mentoring schemes, installing T&M centers, developing teaching/ learning materials and tools, training academic staff, students and mentors from industry.
